Les Peupliers is just an hour away from the famous Le Mans race track where the ’24 Hours of Le Mans’ endurance car competition takes place every June. This event, which remains one of the most prestigious motor races in the world, was created in 1923 and racers can achieve speeds of up to 350km/h!
If you want to experience what the track is like, you can take part in a track day on the on the Bugatti circuit. This is a 2.7 mile permanent racetrack that encompasses part of the larger 24-hour endurance course, including the famous Ford Chicane, the pit complex, and the straight where the Dunlop Tyres bridge is located.

60 competition cars across several different categories take place including prototypes and Grand Touring Endurance road cars and the whole week has plenty of different activities taking place.

Chinon Classic Car Race
The Chinon Classic Car Race is part of the Classic Grand Touring.
Taking place every June, classic cars race through local streets and provides a great opportunity for those participating as well as spectators to enjoy a tremendous variety of classic cars.
Apparently, it is one of the biggest car races of its kind in France and reportedly attracts 200-300 cars. There is the opportunity to walk amongst the fantastic classic cars and chat to the owners.
Being only 25 minutes away from Les Peupliers, this event is a fun day out whether or not you are a car enthusiast.
